Nishinomaru Garden – is a lawn garden surrounding Osaka Castle with hundreds of cherry blossom trees. Watching the castle from the garden is best at any season of the year. Visitors can have a drink at the tea house and vending machines provided. A fee will be collected at the entrance.

Open Hours:
9:00 to 17:00 until 16:30 November – February
Until 21:00 during the cherry blossom season.
Fees 200 yen (350 yen during the extended hours of the cherry blossom season)

Dotonbori –  is a huge downtown area along the Dotonbori-gawa Canal. This place has an overwhelming number of restaurants, shopping malls / stores and amusements. It is best to visit Dotonbori at night, huge illuminated signages light up making it more of a scene from a Hollywood movie. The crowd at night is astonishing and you will find almost everything here. From shoes, clothes, restaurants, video arcades  and even entertainment theaters.  Some stores and restaurants are open 24 hours.

Universal Studios Osaka – one of the most exciting places in Japan. Universal studios have 5 Roller coasters and numerous number of rides. For those who like to have an adrenaline rush, this place is a must.

Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan – One of the most renowned aquarium in Japan. It has 15 large tanks that hold different types of aquatic species. They have regular exhibition for visitors.

Osaka Amazing Pass ( for Osaka area) – allows an unlimited use of trains, buses and trams for 1 day with discounts on popular tourist site, restaurants and shops. Available at Kansai Information Center Kansai International Airport
1-day pass: 2,300 yen (adult)
2-day pass: 3,000 yen (adult)

Kansai Thru Pass – unlimited use of public transportation in Kansai area. Available in 2-day and 3-day passes.
